Menswear Designer Puts A Little Bit Of Bling Back Into Men’s Holiday Wear

Millhouse Company Launches Holiday Collection
At Exclusive Showing!
Menswear Designer Puts A Little Bit Of Bling Back Into Men’s Holiday Wear.

November 12, 2007 – Port of Spain, Trinidad.
On the heels of the successful showing of its Brown Sugar Collection at the St. Kitts Fashion Weekend in October, Millhouse Company will launch its 2007 Holiday Collection next Sunday, November 18, 2007. The exclusive invite-only affair will take place at Coco Lounge in Woodbrook, offering guests a sneak peak of the opulent fine style of the menswear designers’ holiday wear.

For the discerning man, the contemporary flair of the collection echoes the gentlemanly trends of Europe with an edge. Rich fine-knit blends dominate the avant garde pieces that feature whites, khakis and blacks. The Millhouse design team adds a touch of refinement to Caribbean men’s holiday dress with subtle silver and gold accents. In her reflections on last year’s showing, Managing Director and co-designer Coline Baptiste-Mills said, “We brought sexy back and this year, we are adding a little bit of bling to it. It is about new money meeting classic style and fashion.”

Head Designer, Gregory Mills eagerly and expectantly awaits showing his latest offering amidst the company’s continued celebrations of its tenth anniversary. “Witnessing Millhouse’s second annual holiday showing marks a milestone that I am proud to be a part of. For the first time I was able to formulate a collection using a systematic, organised and controlled approach that was carefully planned and strategised,” he said.

The design house will show appreciation for its continued success by offering a ten-week anniversary promotion which begins this Friday, November 16, 2007. The promotion features weekend 10% specials, in-store giveaways and a customer appreciation day. The festivities culminate the weekend of Friday January 18, 2008 with a grand raffle of the Millhouse Blingin’ Treasure Chest including a signature Millhouse garment. The boutique located at 27 Jerningham Avenue , Queen’s Park East in Belmont , will open on Sundays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout the promotion.

The event is set to spark the holiday season in style. In the designers' words, it's time for Trinidad & Tobago's fashion-forward men to "flaunt a little bit of bling" with the Millhouse 2007 Holiday Collection.

Videos, Video/Audio Widgets

In this area of my blog you will find videos of interest to me, and something called a "widget". The first widget is an amalgum of video rss feeds which I also find interesting. The other widget is primarily an Audio widget, even though there are a few vids to be had as well from time to time. You may scroll left or right on the menu at the top of the widgets to change the channel. The Audio widget has a "play/stop" control that you can use to, well...play and stop the audio feed after you've chosen one. Feel free to leave me some love and any comments you may have. Enjoy!
